Practical Session 3 update
We are working hard on solutions to ensure learners can gain their qualifications at the earliest opportunity. However, on the basis of official and local advice we will be cancelling Session 3 Practical exams scheduled for October - December. Our Representatives will provide further guidance in due course. We are very sorry for the impact on teachers and candidates and we will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your loyalty and support while these restrictions remain in place.
We will be gradually rolling out remotely-assessed Performance Grades internationally starting before the end of 2020 and will share exam dates and booking periods soon.
Music Theory Exam update – session C
We are pleased to confirm that we will be offering our Music Theory exams as usual this November. These exams will all be paper-based and available for Grades 1 to 8, using the existing ‘from 2018’ Music Theory syllabus.
At all grades, candidates for Trumpet, Cornet, Flugelhorn have the option of playing one tune on either of the two other instruments.
All tunes set for Grades 4 and 5 are to be found in the AB Real Books. Lead sheets and piano accompaniments for arrangements from the AB Real Books are also available to purchase from Allegro Music and a selection is available to purchase via download.
Tunes set for the exams may alternatively be accompanied by playalong tracks provided on the Grades 4 and 5 CDs.
