Practical Session 3 update

We are working hard on solutions to ensure learners can gain their qualifications at the earliest opportunity. However, on the basis of official and local advice we will be cancelling Session 3 Practical exams scheduled for  October -  December. Our Representatives will provide further guidance in due course. We are very sorry for the impact on teachers and candidates and we will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your loyalty and support while these restrictions remain in place.

We will be gradually rolling out remotely-assessed Performance Grades internationally starting before the end of 2020 and will share exam dates and booking periods soon.

Music Theory Exam update – session C

We are pleased to confirm that we will be offering our Music Theory exams as usual this November. These exams will all be paper-based and available for Grades 1 to 8, using the existing ‘from 2018’ Music Theory syllabus.

Be part of a 700-strong community of musicians

We have currently suspended recruitment to all examiner teams, but will restart as soon as we are able to.

If you are looking for a freelance role that supports developing musicians, complements a portfolio career, and lets you travel, then, music examining could be just the thing for you.

For the first time, we are looking to recruit and train a team of examiners based in South East Asia. We will be running a training course in Singapore in February 2020.
